Set Design
Revaz Mirzashvili was born in 1901 in Gori, Georgia. He graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in 1931. From the beginning of the 1930's he started working in theatre, but then choose set design in filmmaking. He is one of the first Georgian artist, who played an important role in developing Georgian set design. During his creative working period in Tbilisi he designed different movies: “Kajeti”(1932), “Kajana”(1941), “Giorgi Saakadze”(1943), “The Eccentrics”(1973), “The Wishing Tree” ( 1976) and etc. Revaz Mirzashvili was a member of Georgian Cinematographers Union. Mirzashvili was awarded as a Georgian public artist in 1979.
