Misha Iashvili was born in 1954 in the village of Taseyevo, Krasnoyarsk, Russia. In 1971-1979 he was studying faculty of Film and Television at Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. In 1981-1983 he was studying at Ucha Japaridze Painting Studio. Artist’s main medium was painting and graphics. 

In 1989-1999 he was a deputy chairman of Artists Union of Georgia and a chairman of the acrylic section of the Union. In 1995 he became a president of “Pirosmani” club. During several years he was working at the Film and Television Faculty of The Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. He is an important member of 80-ies generation. He was actively participating in different exhibitions in Georgia and abroad (Poland, Japan, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, France and Egypt).

Artist’s works are stored in Georgian National Museum and different galleries. Also his artworks are kept in various private collections in Georgia and abroad.
